4th of July

Summertime and grilling go hand in hand.  Who doesn't love a good burger or slab of steak on the grill?  How about some ribs or chicken?  Mmm....gettin hungry now and all I have is sunflower seeds :(   Along with your burger or dog, which side dishes are a "MUST" at your family's 4th of July cookout?  Is it the corn on the cob, the watermelon.....maybe it's your aunt's baked beans!  Acco

Part of what's so great about hot dogs is their simplicity. Take them out of their package, put them on a grill and, boom, everybody's favorite summer comfort food. I came across this poll this morning, and it is not only scary, it's very sad. Many American teens when asked couldn't give a reason why we celebrate the Fourth of July. But that wasn't the only historical blunder. Wait 'til you read what else they don't know.

Many families are planning to some traveling this 4th of July.  As for me, I like to keep in nice and quiet.  I go to a local fireworks showing maybe do some grillin' and call it a night.  If I were to travel anywhere, it would be to see the show at the Jam in the Valley.  According to the "AAA", roughly 42-million Americans will.....

Yesterday was one of those days where I just didn't feeling like hopping into the car and  driving somewhere to watch fireworks. I was not in the mood to fight crowds. Luckily, I am located in a great spot that allows me to see many different displays without having to go anywhere.

You may have heard the renditions of celebrities who have sung the national anthem and totally messed it up.  They've forgotten the words, missed notes, and just really banged it up.  Here's a video of some of our nations bravest singing "The Star Spangled Banner."  Somehow, it doesn't matter how they sing it....it just sounds good coming from them.
