As you may already know, I'm walking in a walk this Saturday (April 27) to help bring an end to rape, sexual assault and gender violence.  Walk A Mile In Her Shoes involves (mostly) men walking in women's shoes, not because it's comfortable but because, as the saying goes, you really can't understand what someone is going through until you've walked a mile in their shoes.

The Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Walk is now less that two weeks away.  It's a national awareness walk meant to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence, and it certainly turns heads.

Last week, I told you that I would be taking part in a walk to bring awareness to the problem of domestic and gender violence. I would love it if you would join me on April 27 for the walk.

If you see a bunch of guys walk through your neighborhood this weekend wearing women's shoes, don't be surprised.  As strange as it may look at first, they're probably doing it for a great cause.  It's called "Walk A Mile In Her Shoes" and it's happening this weekend.

Three years ago on May 13, 2008, I lost my best friend to suicide.  Nobody expected it (as you hear all the time) but it still happened.  Did you know there are sometimes warning signs that can help to prevent suicide?  If you just said no, then that's why I'm walking tomorrow.
