While they're not moving their headquarters out of Buffalo, the New Era Cap Company plant in Derby will be closing in March. The company told it's more than 200 employees that New Era's presence in Derby is going away.

New Era has contracts with Major League Baseball, the NBA and the NFL to provide head-wear. The contract with Major League Baseball stipulates that all products must be made in the United States.
