The Hank Williams biopic 'I Saw the Light' just got a lot more star power. 'The Avengers' star Elizabeth Olsen has signed on to play Williams' wife, Audrey Mae. Olsen will join Tom Hiddleston in the film, which is expected to start shooting in Louisiana next month.

Jett Williams, country singer and daughter of the late Hank Williams, Sr., was arrested on May 9 for allegedly driving under the influence in Lebanon, Tenn. This is her second DUI arrest.

Tattoos are becoming more and more prevalent these days, with many big fans wanting to show their love for their favorite country music artists in a very ... dedicated ... way. Unfortunately, sometimes that devotion can turn into something to be less than proud of.

Jett Williams -- the 61-year-old daughter of country legend Hank Williams, Sr. and a country singer herself -- was arrested on Tuesday morning (Feb. 25) in Lebanon, Tenn. on charges of driving under the influence.

Sure, one can't imagine Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum pursuing a full-time career as Dick Fantastic, but several superstars did just that.

He had a reputation for, let’s say, over-drinking, and that’s why he never was invited to appear on the Grand Ole Opry. But when Hank Williams recorded a huge number one hit with “Lovesick Blues” and appeared on the Opry’s biggest competitor – the Louisiana Hayride radio show the Opry had no choice but to invite him.

It has to be one of the most recognized songs in all of music. Certainly in country music. It has been covered by artists from just about every genre, including by the Muppets! Hank Williams Sr.'s song "Your Cheatin' Heart" is celebrating 60 years at #1!

I found out this morning that today is the day that Hank Williams, Sr. was born. He was born on September 17, 1923, in Mount Olive, Ala., and to this day is one of the most influential stars in country music.

During the week when I do my Noon Tunes Request Show, I get a lot of requests for Hank Williams, Jr., but obviously we can't really play him on that show because his music is not part of the regular WYRK play list. So I thought for this weeks show, we would give a treat to all the "Bocephus" fans in Western New York and wherever else you are listening from...

Dierks Bentley may have confused a few of his fans the other night when he tweeted, "jumped on stage with some dude playing a bar downtown Nashville tonight. he was pretty good..."  It would be easy to think that Dierks had made some hopeful Nashville singer's night.  As it turns out, that guy was Alan Jackson!
