I played basketball in high school. Well...I was on the team. I didn't play much, but I practiced a lot. That includes the hours of wasted time trying trick shots. Evidently that time pays off for some people.
I am a sucker for the story of the underdog. I just love the struggle that ends in victory. It's a story that the Springville Football team has lived this year. Today they are playing at Ralph Wilson stadium for the Class B championship and although the game hasn't even been played yet, these young men are winners already.
If you were watching the Bills game last week you may have seen Arizona kicker Jay Feely kick a 61 yard field goal in the last couple minutes of the game. My jaw dropped. But that seems like nothing after what happened for a high schooler last night.
