Only five slots left and one race to go before NASCAR’s chase for the Sprint Cup Championship begins.

Kevin Harvick passed Kasey Kahne on a restart with 11 laps to go and held on to win Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway for his 19th career Sprint Cup victory and his second in the 600. Kahne led a race-high 161 laps but settled for second followed by Kurt Busch, Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano.

What a weekend for Kyle Busch at Texas Motor Speedway.  He won Friday night's  Nationwide race then won Saturday night's Sprint Cup NRA 500 for his seventh career weekend sweep to set a NASCAR record. The key to winning Saturday's race was on Friday afternoon when he won the pole giving him the choice of pit boxes.

For the second week in a row Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin were involved in an incident, but this time it sent Hamlin to the hospital after a hard crash on the final lap of the Auto Club 400 in California. The field is now set for Sunday’s Daytona 500 after Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch emerged the winners of Thursday’s Budweiser Duels. For the second year in a row Marcos Ambrose wins at Watkins Glen, but he got a big helping hand. Oil on the track from the car of Bobby Labonte jumbled the running order and it set up a final lap duel between Ambrose and Brad Keselowski. Ambrose made the right move on the final turn and not only gave him the win but his fourth straight top-three finish.

It was quite a weekend for the Busch brothers at Richmond International Speedway.   Kurt Busch won Friday night's Nationwide race driving a car owned by his younger brother Kyle, then on Saturday night Kyle beat Tony Stewart out of the pits during a late caution to win the spring Sprint Cup race at Richmond for the fourth straight year and his first win this season.

What an amazing finish. The last name Busch might not be high in every NASCAR fan's list of favorites, but man I was happy to see this kind of finish for Kurt Busch during Friday Night's Nationwide Race at Richmond!
