NHL Playoffs

Both things happened on the same night, during one of the team's latest wins.

A former Buffalo Sabre is now leading the NHL in playoff goals.

The Buffalo Sabres haven't gotten their logo shown at the NHL Playoffs or finals in years. But somehow, the Buffalo Bills have!

Anyone who is passionate about sports should understand how the fan in this video is feeling. At the time of this interview, his team had never won the coveted Stanley Cup. They were at the brink of the ultimate championship and he could feel it.

The Buffalo Sabres twice had two goal leads, 2-0 and 3-1 but couldn't hold on.  The Philadelphia Flyers rallied back twice to tie the game then finally won it 5-5 in overtime on a goal by Ville Leino.

Tyler Ennis scored on a rebound in overtime to give the Sabres a 4-3 win over the Flyers in Philadelphia to give the Sabres a 3-2 lead in their best of seven first round series.  The Sabres had built a 3-0 lead in the first period only to see the Flyers rally with two goals in the second period and former Sabre Daniel Briere beating Ryan Miller to tie it 3-3 setting the stage for overtime. Jason Pominville scored a first period goal and Ryan Miller did the rest, stopping all 32 shots he faced in the Buffalo Sabres 1-0 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers to even their best of seven playoff series at two games apiece.  Miller was spectacular at times but there was no save bigger than the one he made on former Sabre captain Daniel Briere who was parked all alone in front of the Buffal

The Philadelphia Flyers sent the sellout Buffalo crowd and 5-thousand fans outside back home disappointed after dealing the Sabres a 4 to 2 defeat Monday night to take a 2 to 1 lead in their best of seven playoff series.
