The Sabres earned an impressive 1-0 victory in Philadelphia with an outstanding defensive effort against the Flyers Thursday night to take Game One of their opening round playoff series.  Angola native Patrick Kaleta scored the lone goal of the game on the rebound of a shot by defenseman Marc-Andre Gragnani six minutes into the third period.  It's Kaleta's second career playoff goal.

Ryan Miller stopped 33 shots to pick up his second career shutout.  The Sabres were solid in holding off the Flyers on five power play chances including a two-man advantage for 38 seconds.

To advance to the second round the Sabres needed to win at least one game in Philadelphia and they've already done that.  It means home ice advantage now swings to the Sabres.  Game Two in the series is Saturday at 5 pm again in Philadelphia.
