It's the most wonderful time of the year.

Brett Alan and I said it at just about the same time. "Phil Vassar was amazing!" The early afternoon rain ended just in time Saturday for Vassar to light up the stage at the Down Home Country Weekend to benefit the Langford-New Oregon VFD.

Phil Vassar was my very first artist interview ever.  He was also the first artist to offer ME a beer (instead of the other way around).  He's an awesome guy and he's coming to Langford this summer.  Now, he's got even more good news for his fans.

Best known for "(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden", Lynn Anderson passed away Friday of heart attack in Nashville at the age of 67.
