Every year, New York State produces about 3 million pounds of strawberries that are sold and are typically around 8th in the nation in regard to how many are grown. But now officials are warning of the amount of pesticides on produce from the grocery stores.

The time for picking strawberries is here and in Western New York there are a ton of great places to fill your baskets.

I know...you can pick strawberries up at the store, but there's nothing better than fresh strawberries that you just picked from a field.

It's almost that time of the year! You can bring the kids (although dogs aren't always welcomed) to pick some strawberries during the season. It's fun, cheap and fun especially if you live in the city. Here's a list of where you can pick and get strawberries around the Buffalo area...
