Weidner's BBQ

Obviously with so many businesses and recreational facilities closed down, there aren't as many places to get a delicious Weidner chicken barbecue whenever you want. Fortunately, they're not impossible to find--and you can count on getting them at least on Thursdays.

It was a grim scene last summer when the iconic Weidner's BBQ stand lay in ruins after a quick moving fire during a busy Saturday night at the Erie County Fair. It left its future in question.

While an Ultimate Night of Destruction demolition derby was taking place at the Erie County Fair Grandstand, a night of destruction of another type was taking place behind the grandstand of a far more serious nature.  A grease fire broke out at the Weidner's BBQ stand that heavily damaged the building estimated to be at least 60 years old.
