Popular WNY Ice Cream Stand Announces Opening Day

It's officially March, which means that the warmer weather will be here shortly. It is Buffalo, however, which means that we likely won't be fully out of the winter weather until mid-to-late April, but March is usually when people start looking forward to warm temperatures.

If you have noticed, the ice cream stands have slowly but surely started to open. It's always a fun thing when your favorite local ice cream stands start to open up. Taking your significant other or family there for the first time of the year is a special feeling.

Dairy Queen locations have already started opening up in Western New York but if you're looking to visit a famous local ice cream place, one of the most beloved is opening back up this week.

According to their Facebook page, Tasty Treat of Lockport says they will return on Wednesday, March 8th at noon.

Tasty Treat is located on Transit Road in South Lockport and is a staple for those in Lockport and southern Niagara County. It's that busy ice cream stand you drive by on your way to the I-990 or the heart of Lockport in the other direction.

Kone King in West Seneca just had their opening day this past Wednesday as well, so we are getting back into the swing of things for springtime weather.

Yes, there is snow in the forecast this Saturday but if you are hoping to get back to your local ice creams stands, they're reopening this month.
