It's incredible that just three short weeks ago, Buffalo was considered an afterthought for hosting the Toronto Blue Jays after they were looking for a ballpark to play in for the shortened 2020 season.

On Tuesday, the Blue Jays officially played their first home game at Sahlen Field and it really couldn't have gone any better.

First of all, the Blue Jays won, 5-4 over the Miami Marlins -- improving their record to 6-8.

Sahlen Field looked incredible with the updated lights and new infield, along with being wrapped and painted in the Blue Jays colors.

Despite no fans inside the ballpark, that didn't stop some fans stopping for a peak beyond the outfield wall near the 190 entrance and Seneca Street.

Maybe the best part of the entire evening however, was when the Blue Jays thanked Buffalo before the first pitch. Check it out!

The Blue Jays are back at it tonight, just after 6:30 pm against the Miami Marlins at Sahlen Field.

The game will be shown on the MLB Network and MLB.com.
