Yesterday, The Mayor of Buffalo Bryon Brown announced that the city is expected to receive $350 million dollars in federal aid as part of the American Rescue Plan.

According to WIVB, during the announcement of the aid during a press conference, the mayor outlined where the money will go.

“We plan to use these funds to restore our City’s fiscal health, assist community members and businesses that were hurt by COVID-19, make needed infrastructure repairs City-wide, and build Buffalo back better and stronger than before"

The American Rescue Plan was first announced by President Biden back in January. It was the program that helped roll out more vaccinations across the country, sent another $1400 stimulus check to many Americans, and extended unemployment insurance and childcare credits to those affected by COVID-19.
