Random Songs WNY Kids Love Hearing In The Car

We are on the move a lot with our family these days. Whether it’s picking up one kid from preschool, or taking the second one to and from kindergarten, or soccer practice, or shopping, or back-and-forth to grandma's house, it seems like we are in the car a lot these days.

Being a person who works in radio, you would think that I would have control over the playlist more often? But that is simply not the case when you are dealing with a five year old, a three-year-old, and an 18-month-old. They are picky when it comes to the selection of music that they want to hear when we are on a family ride or road trip.

From country, to hip-hop, and some random Halloween tunes, we sure do have what most would consider an eclectic or random playlist that our kids must have playing through the speakers of our family car.

Below is a list of some of the most random songs that our kids have chosen and it seem to come up most often. What is most frustrating sometimes is that a song is not even done yet and they are begging for the next song on the list to start playing! Unfortunately as you can probably imagine, they don’t always agree on which song should be played. I have to admit, that some of the songs are lots of fun when you hear them for the first, or second or, even fifth time. But when it is getting into the double digit amount of time that we play this song and just a short drive from the store to home, it can get a little tiring.

The hottest singles right now in mom‘s car seems to be "Fancy Like" by Walker Hayes and "The Ghostbusters Theme". One thing is for sure, they certainly enjoy their songs that are based on a theme for the time of year. It’s not long from now that the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse version of jingle bells will be put in heavy rotation.
