The New York Conservation Officers Association held a charity golf tournament on Monday, July 9th at the Byrncliff Country Club in Varysburg, NY.  About 200 people participated in this charity fundraiser.  According to Department of Environmental Conservation Officer Robert J. Peinkofer, almost $20,000 was raised to benefit the Hunt Of A Lifetime Foundation, which provides hunting trips to terminally ill children.

Because of the amount of money raised, two to three sick children will be getting to go on a hunting trip. This was the first annual fundraiser and plans are already underway for next year's event. The evening culminated in a dinner with prizes and giveaways and music from local rockers, Last Shot.
