The ball is about to drop on a new year across the globe. 2024 is just days away and their may not be a better place to be than in Times Square in New York City! This winter has been pretty mild compared to others. It was a green Christmas for most of New York State and 2023 will go down as the warmest on record around the world.

For the most part, New Year's Eve and the first day of January are cold and in some years, bitterly cold. However, this coming ball drop should be more tolerable.

The ten day forecast from The Weather Channel is calling for the temperatures to be in the 35-45 degree range with a few clouds from New Year's Eve in to the first day of 2024 on Monday.
