Trains are one of those things that never get old. Sure, trains aren't used for travel like they were years ago, but they bring out the kids in us and offer a great way to explore the landscape. It's even better when it's in the middle of the fall season.

Now that we're in October, the leaves will soon change to peak foliage and Halloween is just four weeks away. What better way to celebrate the Halloween holiday than to take a train ride with the family.

The Buffalo Cattaraugus & Jamestown Scenic Railway is holding fall train rides for people of all ages that takes place in Hamburg and takes you through the southtowns scenes.

They also have a Halloween Train Ride that will take place October 23rd and 24th, along with the 30th and 31st.

The train will depart at 4 Scott Street in the heart of Hamburg and make a midway stop to Zittel's Country Market for family fun and activities for kids. Two trains will depart at 10 am and 2:30 pm, respectively.

Children will even get pumpkins during the train ride!

The Buffalo Cattaraugus & Jamestown Scenic Railway asks that customers arrive 30 minutes before their train departs and that COVID-19 protocols will be followed as well.

I used to live in Hamburg for a few years, not too far from the train tracks that this train ride takes place. It's always fun watching the trains go by and it's more special during the fall. Tickets can be purchased here.
