Rock the Country Music Festival is a traveling country music festival that will stop in 8 small towns across the United States this Summer and one of the stops will include the Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg, New York.

The festival announcement was met with so much excitement and opposition. The reason people were so passionate about disliking the festival is because of Kid Rock's very public political beliefs. The Rock the Country Festival was started during the pandemic when some big southern cities were 'open' and it was formerly called ROCK THE SOUTH FESTIVAL. Now, because it is traveling all over the country including the north, they had to change the name.

Who is the other headliner for the Buffalo, New York / Hamburg, New York Rock the Country Festival?

Right now, on September 11, 2026 Hank Williams Jr is the top billing act, but there is someone who will headline the night besides him, meaning, Hank Williams Jr will NOT be the top billing act. Usually, when something like this happens and they cannot tell fans who is coming, it is because there is a conflict somewhere, usually a radius clause. The headlining act on September 12, 2026 will be Kid Rock.

What is a radius clause?

Usually, when a radius clause is written, rule of thumb in country music, is that an artist cannot announce a show or play a show within one already in place. What is the limit? It is usually 90 days from an already announced show within 90 miles of that concert.

For example: since Luke Bryan is playing in Buffalo at the Taste of Country with Jordan Davis on June 26th, they could not play in Erie, Pennsylvania on August 20th because that would violate both the 90 days within 90 miles clause.
