While we wait for spring, there is an important recall that may affect parents of young kids here in New York State.

When you have kids, your life immediately changes and your attention goes directly to their safety. When it is your first baby, everything worries you or scares you. So when a report comes out about a dangerous product, you go through your inventory of baby items to see if you have what the recall is about.

This new alert is over concerns about suffocation risks caused by a defective chair.

According to reports, the recall is on over 63,000 JOOL BABY SWINGS.

Yahoo Finance reports that, "The recall involves Jool Baby's Nova Baby infant swings with a manufacture date from June 2022 through September 2023, which can be found on the sewn-in warming label on the back of the swing's seat."

As a father of four young kids, I have learned to relax a bit and not freak out over every fall, every gag or sniffle. However, I still pay attention to these types of alerts. The biggest advice I give to new parents is that you have to be able to see the dangers before they happen and try to help your kids avoid them.

For example, I recently told our 5 year old not to run in his Crocs, it's an easy trip hazard. Did he run? Absolutely. Did he fall? Yep. All I can do is keep trying and hope they start to listen.
