Thomas Rhett Postpones Home Team Tour Shows Due to Illness
Thomas Rhett won't get to play the final three North American stops on his Home Team Tour until a few weeks after he'd planned. The country star has postponed his shows in St. Paul, Minn.; Brookings, S.D.; and Omaha, Neb., scheduled for Oct. 26-28.
Rhett's three postponed shows were moved due to illness, according to All Access. Fortunately, fans already have makeup dates to look forward to: Rhett will perform in St. Paul on Nov. 29; Brookings on Dec. 1; and Omaha on Dec. 2. All tickets purchased for the original show dates will be honored at the newly scheduled concerts, but if any fans are looking for refunds, they can return to their point of purchase.
Following the 2017 CMA Awards on Nov. 8 -- at which Rhett is nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year -- Rhett will hit the road for some European Home Team Tour stops. Although he'd love to bring his family overseas with him some day, the singer admits that now is not the right time to do that.
"I think traveling on a bus with 16 other people with a newborn would be pretty disastrous. So, unfortunately, they’re going to stay home," Rhett shares. "But hopefully in the future, I would love to bring my kids overseas, whether it’s to Europe or Australia, to play shows and let them be immersed in that."
In 2018, he'll be joining Kenny Chesney for his Trip Around the Sun Tour, which is scheduled to begin in April.
