This past Monday was a record setter for parts of New York State has the excessive heat raged on and sparked a few tornado warnings.

The good news is that the cool down is coming at the end of this week and the humidity will be scaling back.

However, there seems to be at least one more day of the heat and tropical humidity to deal with.

On Monday, there were several tornado warnings posted by the National Weather Service.

In addition to that, there were a few locations that tied the record for high temperatures. Many in Central New York State were feeling the heat.

Here in New York State, we are blessed to have the four seasons. However, it is hard to deny that there have been more extreme weather incidents within the seasons over the last few years. Last week, there were 18 tornado warnings posted and at least four confirmed tornadoes in the Western New York area. Last winter, there were a couple of massive blizzard/snow storms that residents dealt with.

But aside from those isolated incidents, the weather in New York State is hard to beat. The payoff to the hot and muggy summer is coming and the fall typically is the best part of the year in terms of cool evenings and warm and comfortable days.
