If you're a kid who grew up in the 80s or 90s, then Toys R Us carries a special meaning for you. It was where you ent to escape your worries about school, chores, or just growing up in general. Even kids in the 2000s loved Toys R Us.

Sadly, Toys R Us went through liquidation and all but disappeared in 2018, but earlier this year, there was hope that Toys R Us would be back after WHP Global, a New York-based brand management firm, took a controlling stake in the company that owns Toys R Us brands.

Now, according to WIVB, Macy's announced they will have 400 Toys R Us shops at Macy's locations, starting in 2022.

As of now, it's unclear if one of those Toys R Us locations will be coming to the Macy's at the Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga.

Obviously, I'm anxious to see if Toys R Us will be back in Western New York. When they closed up shop a couple of years ago, there's been rumors of Toys R Us being brought back and that will finally happen with the help of WHP Global and Macy's.

There's just something about that store that brings back nostalgia to so many adults who went there as a kid.
