This week’s Hometown Hero has always wanted to serve. From the time he was a little boy, he’s always told his parents that he wanted to be in the Army. Originally from North Tonawanda, our Hometown Hero is 20-year-old Trevor Bowman.

Trevor’s nomination came from his incredibly proud step dad Rob. It said:

Trevor is my stepson. When he was just a little boy he would tell me and his mom he wanted to go in the army. When he got to high school his plan changed a bit. He decided that he wanted to be a police officer. When he found out about the military police he decided that it was exactly what he wanted. He could be in the army and a police officer. So Trevor joined right after high school and is now in fort Lewis performing the duties of a mp. His mom and I are very proud of him and cannot wait to see him. Love your step dad Rob.

Thank you, Trevor, for your dedication to our country and your community from everyone here at WYRK. We are proud to call you this week’s Hometown Hero!

If you would like to nominate someone who is currently serving our country or has served in the past, click the button at WYRK.com. We will choose a new Hometown Hero each Friday. If their name is chosen, we will not only feature them on WYRK.com, but we’ll be sure to thank them for their service on the air and dedicate the first song on Noon Tunes to them.

Once again, thank you to Trevor Bowman, our Hometown Hero of the week!
