Buffalo Not Happy After What Bengals Player Said About the Bills
The Buffalo Bills have a huge game coming up on Monday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals. It will match up the one seed (Bills) and the three seed (Bengals) in the AFC.
This is also the first game the Bills have played against the Bengals since 2019 and the first in Cincinnati since 2017.
The Bills will be the one seed in the AFC if they win their final two games, while the Bengals still have a chance at the one seed, but would need to win their final two games and have the Kansas City Chiefs lose at least one of their remaining two. Cincinnati still has to clinch their division, which they can with a win on Monday.
The Bengals have arguably the best wide receiver core in the NFL; Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd.
Bills fans know Boyd well since he was the player who caught the TD pass in week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens, which sent the Bills into the playoffs and broke the 17-year playoff drought.
Boyd may be a hero to many Bills fans, but many of those fans didn't appreciate the comments he had about the Bills' defense when he spoke with the media this week.
In what was first reported by New York Upstate, Boyd said that the Bills' defense is "basic" and when asked about their secondary, Boys said:
"I think they play well together, but not the best that we've seen," said Boyd. "But at the end of the day, they play together and they're gonna play hard," added Boyd.
Boyd's comments are interesting because it wasn't trying to disrespect the Bills' defense, but I can see how those comments would perhaps rub some fans or even the Bills' defense the wrong way.
The Bills will have their hands full. We have to see if the Bengals go after Dane Jackson, which has been a gameplan many opposing offenses have had this year against the Bills.
Buffalo Bills fans are not happy about the comments one Cincinnati Bengals player had about the Bills' defense.
