Congratulations to this weeks Hometown Heroes: The Sheldon Volunteer Fire Company.

The Sheldon Volunteer Fire Company  has been active since the year 1922 and has
approximately 30 members that give their all when the alarm sounds and
at our fund raisers. They recently broke ground for a new fire hall to be
built and they hope we can be in it by fall or spring. They have 2 pumpers
and 2 pumper tankers, as well as 10 EMTs that are well trained and
ready for what may come their way!

According to 2nd. Assistant Chief Frederick Peter, "We are like family up here and we go
in together and come out together and always watch each others backs
and see to it that we go home safe!"

God Bless all firefighters everywhere! If your fire company wishes to be considered for our weekly honor, please email me a photo and bio of your volunteer fire company to:  johnlamond@wyrk.com
