Since the norm today is a quick tweet, snap, or two-word text reply, when your cell phone actually rings it seems, well.. odd. What's even more annoying is when you answer it just to learn it's a robocall.

Luckily there's good news! Turns out you may not have to deal with these annoying and unwanted calls. According to WGRZ, Senator Charles Schumer wants to stop annoying robocalls and had this to say:

"The technology exists to block these annoying calls from getting through to your landline or your cell phone. The Senator wants to mandate that phone companies use that technology."

While that sounds good and all, it most likely won't happen overnight. In the meantime, there's a couple other steps that you can take right now to hopefully get those calls to stop.

One suggestion is to make sure you register for the Do No Call List, even if you've registered for it years ago. Another step, suggested by The FCC, is to ask your phone company if it offers robocall-blocking technology. This is something I'm definitely going to look into... for more steps you can take Click Here!
