WATCH: How To Clean A $2 Million Kentucky Derby Horse

The big day is here! The 2021 Kentucky Derby will take place this weekend and the world will be watching! After a year of postponements and cancellations, it will be great to see a familiar event at a familiar time.

The favorite horse, as of Thursday morning, seems to be Essential Quality. However, many are saying you can't count out Rock Your World. No matter the horse you wager on, the amount of care and attention that goes in to getting these horses ready is incredible.

These horses are not only top level athletes, they are an investment. A horse that is in top shape needs to be as clean as possible and the video below shows a couple of grooms giving this $2 million dollar horse, his daily scrub!

The 147th Kentucky Derby will happen this Saturday, May 1st at Churchill Downs and as many as 45,000 fans will be allowed to witness the greatest 2 minutes in sports, in person!

Before the race begins, we all seem to become experts in the world of horse racing. Whether it is the pre-race show, the internet or second hand information from friends, we all seem to become part-time handicappers Saturdays in the spring!
