The week started with several regions in New York suffering from high temperatures in the teens, but a massive warm air front is coming through the area and we will see unseasonable warm temperatures for a couple of days this week.
According to Accuweather, the warm air front will sweep across New York starting this Wednesday which will help shoot the high temperatures into the mid 50s which is about 15-20 degrees warmer than normal.
Even though many portions of the Southern and Eastern states have experienced some mild days with temperatures reaching the 30s, 40s and 50s F, the warm surge slated for the latter half of next week can add 10-20 degrees to those highs and result in widespread temperatures reaching the 50s, 60s and 70s next Thursday and Friday. In much of the Northeast, the highest temperatures since December are possible.
The warm weather won't stay around for long. The warm weather is expected is only last around two days before another arctic blast comes back across the state. We will see the temperatures drop back down to the low 30s for the weekend.
The good news is that the warm weather will be back sooner than later as the temperatures will rebound to sightly above normal to start next week.
So enjoy the quick "Spring" break we will get mid-week and enjoy the nice warm-up and just know that Spring is right around the corner.
