West Seneca Native Writes No. 1 Lady A Song ‘Champagne Night’
Always a Western New York connection!
Lady A found their new hit from the TV songwriting-singing reality show on NBC with judges Ester Dean, Shane McAnally, and Ryan Tedder. Contestants come with their own written song and perform it and the judges will work with them to make it a hit and maybe even find a big artist to cut the song.
Lady A was on the show back in the Summer of 2020 for Season 2 and found their new song "Champagne Night" and we found out this morning that it was co-written by someone from Western New York
Tina Gemza, who lived in West Seneca has worked with some of the big names of music since moving out. She went to New York University and was in the Clive Davis Department at Tisch School of the Arts. She has written songs from big names like Britney Spears and Celine Dion to newly-found country success with Lady A, Tenille Townes, Jessie James Decker, and more!
"Can I make a request to hear Lady Antebellum's new release "Champagne night"
It's my sister-in-law-Tina Parol (now Tina Gemza)." We are still getting requests for the song as it hit No. 1 on the country charts this week making the song Lady A's 11th number one hit of their career.
Listen to her join Clay and Company earlier this year!
