West Side Community Day is Set For Friday, June 29
It;s nice to see events happening in Western New York that are focused on wellness and good health for residents in our communities. Yes we all love of wings, pizza and beer and because we do, it's important to care of our health. The first West Side Community Day on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. at Rich Products (Atrium and parking lot). This is a free event for the whole family and will include an EPIC Storytime with Buster Bison, Awesome Animals with the Buffalo Zoo and Super Science Stuff with Explore and More. Various health and wellness agencies will be on hand to promote services available to the community, including BlueCross BlueShield of WNY along with their Healthy Zone Cruiser, the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library and the Bookmobile, Jericho Road, St. Luke's Mission of Mercy, Red Cross, Cornell Cooperative Extension and more.
Also a free car seat safety checking station will be available. Certified car seat technicians from EPIC, the Erie County Sheriff's office and the New York State Police will be on hand to make sure car seats are installed and used properly. Damaged, expired and recalled seats will be replaced. Because time and supplies are limited, registering in advance is recommended and can be done by calling 716-332-4115.
