It's just a small treasure of living in an area that has four seasons.  I look forward to it every year, but it lasts for just a short time then it's gone until the following year when the cycle repeats itself all over again.  It's the beautiful daffodils that sprout up alongside this area's expressways every year signaling that spring really is here.

Along the New York State Thruway, the mainline I-90 to the Niagara Section I-190, to the Kensington Expressway Route 33 to the Youngmann Expressway I-290 to the Aurora Expressway Route 400 - they're everywhere.  Tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of daffodil bulbs planted years ago wait all year until it comes time for them put on their show and they never fail.  They last about a month and a half, if we're lucky maybe two months then surrender to the heat, disappear and then re-energize themselves to do it all over again the following year.

It's a free show, every year, now playing on a local expressway near you.  But remember, it's a limited run.
