RARE White Buffalo Born in Western New York
A rare white Buffalo was born last week in Western New York and is certainly going to be an attraction this summer.
In some cultures they are highly sacred and now there is a new calf at the Hidden Valley Animal Adventure in Varysburg, New York. Take a look at the beautiful calf below next to its mother. We are asking to find out if the calf has been given a name yet!
A white buffalo is extraordinarily rare, occurring naturally in only about 1 in 10 million births. They are not always true albinos; most are leucistic, meaning they have white fur but retain dark eyes, noses, and hooves", according to AZ animals.
If you have never been to the Hidden Valley Animal Adventure, it is a great spot for for the kids and will soon be on your summer bucket list every single year. If you have never been to the park, this is how it works:
You can either take the bus through the safari or take your own car
You go through the park and through different 'zones' with different animals from ostriches, zebras, buffalo, camels and more. There is an opportunity to feed some of the animals as well.
In addition to the safari, there is a petting zoo section where the kids absolutely love. It really is a cool facility and they do weddings there as well. If you are looking to go and get more information on directions and parking, here you go!
