Fans who have gone to Bills and Sabres games lately may have seen cheerleaders taking pictures with people and cheering for the team. Who are they?

Some of you may remember when the Buffalo Bills had their own cheerleaders at games. They were called the Buffalo Jills. In a nutshell, they were the Bills' official cheerleading squad. They showed up to every home game, but according to a major class-action lawsuit against the Bills, they weren't getting paid for any of it. The squad was permanently disbanded shortly after.

Now, it looks as though the Bills have cheerleaders again.

These cheerleaders are called The BFLO Cheerleaders

In the last couple of games, fans had the opportunity to take pictures with a cheerleading squad that was at Highmark Stadium and it feels like there aren't a lot of people who know much about them. They don't have the Bills logo on them. They're not wearing team colors, but they're there cheering for the Bills. They're called the BFLO Cheerleaders, and they're there to not only cheer for the Bills, but all Buffalo pro-level sports teams, so you'll see them at Sabres and other games and events too.

The BFLO Cheerleaders are completely volunteer

They're a nonprofit, independently owned cheerleading team and their goal is to spread love and cheer throughout the Buffalo community. The cheerleaders volunteer their time with the hope of creating positive change.

"As high-visibility community ambassadors and performers our cheerleaders elevate local charitable fundraising, support pro-level sport teams, community-based initiatives, and mentor the next generation. We invest directly in our dedicated volunteer cheerleaders by providing our Passion for Purpose educational scholarship program and support for growth and future success." - bflocheerleaders.com
