Who Are The Current Contenders For The Buffalo Bills Head Coaching Vacancy?
It was big news when the Buffalo Bills fired Rex Ryan. Much has been said about the circumstances that led to his firing but it's time to look forward. Who is on the list to be Buffalo's next head coach?
While Rex Ryan was picked by a committee, this search will fall squarely on the shoulders of Buffalo Bills GM Doug Whaley. There have been rumors created and squashed about the Bills hiring people like Tom Coughlin and former Buffalo Bill Frank Reich. But here's the list of people who have been interviewed already or might be interviewed soon to fill that vacancy.
- 1
Anthony Lynn
He served as the Offensive Coordinator of the Bills in 2016 after the firing of Greg Roman after losing the first two games of the season. He was named the interim head coach after the firing of Rex Ryan and could be a favorite of the Pegulas after they expressed a desire to keep some continuity in their team.

Kris Richard
The Seattle Seahawks Defensive Coordinator has been confirmed for an interview. However, his team won their Wild Card game yesterday so he will not be able to be hired until his season is over.
- 3
Sean McDermott
The Carolina Panthers Defensive Coordinator had a meeting with the Bills last Wednesday. He has also since then lined up meetings with the San Diego Chargers and the San Francisco 49ers.
- 4
Harold Goodwin
Goodwin is the offensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals. He has more interviews with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Rams.
