Work At Highmark Stadium Suspended
The builders of the new home of the Buffalo Bills announced they have suspended work on the new stadium as they investigate how graffiti was put on the stadium in several secure locations.
The builders Gilbane | Turner released a statement to the media about why they have suspended work for now.
“Over the weekend, graffiti was discovered in several secure locations in both finished and unfinished areas of the stadium project site. We suspended work and launched a full investigation in partnership with the trade contractors and unions to send a clear message about how seriously we take this matter,”
This is the second time work has been stopped on the new stadium due to graffiti in secure areas. The first time was two years ago when a suspected hate symbol was found on the site, but law enforcement ultimately deemed the graffiti not be malicious.

The New stadium is expected to be completed later this year in time for the new NFL season. The new season is set to kick off on Thursday, September 10th, with the Bills most likely playing at home that weekend on Sunday or Monday.
My best guess for the home opener will be a Monday night game against the New England Patriots. That game would be played on September 14th.
