World’s Most Annoying Sounds!

As the proud papa of an 8 week old dog...I have to say that the sound of her little cries at first were cute.  However at midnight,2am and 3am those cute cries for attention become a bit annoying.I see on this list of annoying sounds that puppies were not included.   I also see that the Vuvuzela were not given a mention!  Those are the noise makers used during the World Cup that sounded like a swarm of bees! Trevor Cox, a professor of acoustic engineering at Salford University in England, conducted a year-long online study that attracted more than one million votes on 37 horrible sounds most of us hate to hear. Here they are:

• Vomiting
• Microphone feedback
• Multiple babies crying
• Scraping of train wheels
• Seesaw squeaking
• Violin
• Flatulence
• One baby crying
• Soap opera argument
• Electricity hum
