You Can Only Have One Best Friend…Here Is Why
If you think about your circle of friends, chances are that you have one person in that group that is your go-to person.
That person is your best friend, and I believe that you can only have one best friend. Sure you can have lots of really good and really close friends, but you can only have one best friend.
For years, people have argued with me over this saying they have one best guy friend, one best girl best friend, or one best work friend. But those are all sub-categories and if you put all your friends together you can only have one best friend.
I say that because of the definition of best. If you look up what "best" means on dictionary.com the definition is "that which is the most excellent, outstanding, or desirable". So if you look at your friend group, there is one person in that group who is the most excellent or outstanding.
It is like your best friend is the gold medal winner of your friends while your other friends are silver and bronze winners. If you ever watched the Olympics, you know that there is only one gold medal winner. That person was better than all the other competitors hence they were the best in that group of competitors.
So if you ask me, if you have that one person in your life that you tell all your stories and secrets to, hand out with the most, is the first one you call with good or bad news, congrats that person is your Best Friend!
