6 Ugly Things That Happened This Week — Gay Marriage, Toby Keith’s Bus, Hamburg Killing + More
There’s always some less-than-thrilling things that happen each week, whether it’s across the country, down to Music City in Nashville, or right here in our WNY backyards.
Here’s this week’s rundown.
New England Patriots star tight end Aaron Hernandez was arrested for the "suspicion" he shot his friend over an argument. Idiot. I had Hernandez in my fantasy football league last year; now he's dealing with a whole new league: jail. New position: jail bait.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act -- and some people can't stand it. Why does someone care so much not to let anyone do what they want? It's not your life. Let them do what they want.
I haven't figured out how to weasel my way into the movie yet. That's the only ugly part. Other than that, this is great news! Stars include Susan Sarandon, Melissa McCarthy, Dan Aykroyd and Kathy Bates.
Mark Christopher Sevier, the man accused of stalking John Rich of Big + Rich despite two restraining orders against him, is excited to see his day in court. Probably because John will be there. Sevier sent Rich a picture that looked like Rich wearing nothing but the American flag. Extra weird part? Sevier is a 36-year-old lawyer. Looks like he's going to need one himself.
Bad news? A lot of damage. Burnt to a crisp. Good news? He already has a new one. I mean, he better...he has to be here in three weeks.
Holy smokes do these things reproduce or what!? The SPCA is all over it. West Seneca was the latest to have a ton of stray cat complaints, but as of today, the SPCA Buffalo has over 700 cats up for adoption.
