Thursday night’s Bills v. Lions preseason game may not be a big deal for us watching at home, but it means a heck of a lot to the cast of NFL hopefuls, vying for the Bills final roster spots.  According to the Buffalo News, Coach Chan Gailey says the roster is 80-85% set.  This final preseason game will help him determine the final 15% of his team.  Buffalo, along with rest of the NFL teams, must have their rosters trimmed down to 53 players by 9 p.m. Friday. Currently in camp, the Bills have 75 guys.  That means 22 guys will be having a pretty unpleasant holiday weekend, unless scooped by another team.

Here’s a list of players who I feel are on the “bubble” (verge of being cut)

-QB Tyler Thigpen

-WR’s – Marcus Easley, Ruvell Martin, Kamar Aiken, Naaman Roosevelt

- TE’s- Kevin Brock, Doren Dickerson

-OL’s- Mark Asper, Zebrie Sanders, James Carmon

-DL’s- Keller Heard, Alex Carrington

-LB’s- Scott McKillop

-DB’s- Delano Howell, Isiah Green

-K- John Potter

In tonight’s final preseason game, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the first team starters are expected to play about 10 plays.  The rest of the time, you’ll see these guys giving it their all.  Go Bills!
