Escape Buffalo Through Puzzling Fun – List of All the Trapped/Escape Rooms in the Area
This is my new obsession! I've been through four or five different Escape Rooms, and they have not lost their appeal. It's a trend that is not only growing across the country but right here in WNY.
The themes and situations are different for each room, but the premise is the same. You need to solve a missive puzzle with your team before your time runs out! You go through a range of emotions within that hour; anger, frustration, anxiety, enjoyment...really all of them.
Most of the rooms help you along if you really get stuck, but for the most part it's all on you and your team. If you're looking for some fun on the weekend or a team building activity this is for you! I would recommend going into a room with people you know. It's going to be fun but times can get tense and it could get awkward if you're freaking out in front of or at people you don't know!

Trapped - A Buffalo Escape Room Experience

Right now they have three different rooms available! A haunted hotel room (Room #9), a WW II room (DoubleA gent) and their newly added Wizard Room (The Wizard's Keep). Each room requires a minimum of 4 people to play. You have an hour to complete your task!

Escape Room Buffalo

Escape Room Buffalo offers three different rooms for you to tackle in 60 minutes. The Brewery, Prison Break and The Time Machine. Each room requires a minimum of three people and cost $25 a person.

Lock & Key Escape Room
504 Elmwood Ave Buffalo, NY
As of now Lock & Key only offers one room with a new one being added in Spring of 2016! The room available now is Virus Outbreak. Zombies are involved and you have an hour not to become one yourself. The minimum amount for this room is three people and it's $25 a person.

Perplexity Escape Room

Perplexity offers two rooms - Crazy Aunt Gertrude and The Museum Heist. Choose between finding the family fortune or the fortune of a billionaire. The website doesn't list a minimum requirement but it is $25 per person.

The EXIT Rooms

This is the Southtowns answer to the escape room hype! They offer two rooms: The Lounge and The Nursery. Each room requires a minimum of four people and it's $25 per person. The Lounge takes you on race against police to grab important information before they catch you. The Nursery keeps you on your toes as you try to escape before the serial killer makes you his next victim.

Queen City Escape Room

Travel back in time to the glory days of the 90s in their 90s Time Travel Adventure room. While their is no minimum requirement on the website the room does accommodate up to 8 people at $25 per person.

The Great Escape Room
300 Pearl St Buffalo, New York 14202
These room seems to be a part of a nationwide chain and you don't have to necessarily escape from the situations. In one room you have to successfully perform heart surgery, in another play and complete certain games and in even try a join "The League Of The Masters of Elementary Deduction".
There is no minimum amount but it seems if you don't fill all 10 slots they will put you with other people. The website says it's $28 per person but they do offer a 10% discount if you buy 10 tickets. However, when you go to book your room it shows a $20 ticket.
