Not only did the groundhog see his shadow, then he took it out on the Mayor by biting him! He still has his ear so we can label this as hilarious! The bets part, and I don't blame him, is that the Mayor incorrectly relayed the news that spring would come early! They later had to correct there forecast. Way to go, groundhog!
