Entering Sunday's race at Dover International Speedway in Delaware Kevin Harvick faced elimination from the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.  He needed a victory to stay in the hunt and he not only won, he dominated the AAA 400.

Harvick led 355 of 400 laps to claim his first victory at Dover, his third of the season and 31st of his career.  Kyle Busch finished second with Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jamie McMurray and Aric Almirola completing the Top 5.

With the win Harvick advances to the Contender Round in the Chase format, but four drivers were eliminated including 6-time champion Jimmie Johnson.  Also falling out of contention are Paul Menard, Clint Bowyer and despite his Top 5 finish in the race, Jamie McMurray is now out.

Matt Kenseth continues to lead the Chase standings followed by Denny Hamlin and now Kevin Harvick moves to third.

Seven more races left in the season.  Next up on the schedule is Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday night.
