Kevin Harvick won Saturday night's 400 lap race at Richmond giving him four victories this season and that was good enough to put him into a tie with Kyle Busch atop the standings heading into the final 10 races of the season. It was Harvick's first victory since May 29th at Charlotte and ended a nearly summer-long stretch of sub-par performances.
September 7, 2011 Even with a vibration issue late in the race, Jeff Gordon was able to hold off Hendrick Motorsports teammate, Jimmie Johnson, during the closing laps to win Tuesday's Sprint Cup race at Atlanta Motor Speedway -- a race delayed two days by Tropical Storm Lee. Gordon led a race-high 146 laps for his third win this season and 85th career Cup victory putting him in sole possession of third place on the all-time winners list.
