An incredible day for Jeff Gordon at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and an incredible career achievement.  Twenty years after winning for the first time at the famed racetrack, Gordon won his fifth to break a tie with Jimmie Johnson for most Cup wins at the Brickyard. He finished nearly two and a half seconds ahead of Kyle Busch for his 90th career victory and second this season to clinch a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.

Gordon's fifth victory at Indy is the most of any driver in any racing series, and it gives Chevrolet its 12th straight victory there.

Following second-place Kyle Busch, Joe Gibbs teammates Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth finished third and fourth, with Joey Logano completing the Top 5.

Kasey Kahne led a race-high 70 laps and came in sixth.

Six more races left before the start of the Chase championship. Next up on the schedule is a return to Pocono next Sunday.
