We finally started getting some chillier weather here in Buffalo yesterday.  One of the newest Buffalo Bills definitely took notice.

It's been a busy couple of days in the front offices of the Buffalo Bills.  They picked up a few new players through free agency and through trades in hopes of making another run at a Super Bowl for Buffalo.

But the players found that most of the stereotypes about Buffalo weather are absolutely true.

What is the weather like in Buffalo?

There's no question that Buffalo has a bad reputation when it comes to the weather.  A lot of people think that all it does is snow 24/7 every day of the year.  Those of us who live here know that's not true.  We have some of the best weather anywhere throughout the summer.  It's perfect.  It's not too hot or too cold.  We only see rain for a couple of days a week.  Summer is amazing.

Winter though, is a bit of a different story.

When October gets here, we could see anything from huge storms to 80 degree days.  It just so happens that when the new players arrived here, the temps had just dropped below 50.  It was what many of the locals here in Buffalo would describe as a little chilly.

Leonard Fournette described the weather in Buffalo a different way

Leonard Fournette was raised in New Orleans.  He played at LSU then was drafted to the Jacksonville Jaguars.  He went from there to Tampa Bay.  To say that he's been in warmer temperatures for most of his life would be a bit of an understatement.  But it's as if he wasn't really prepared for the weather here.  Here's how he described his first practice day in Buffalo:

Here's the best part - it's not even winter yet!  Wait until we get some snow on the ground!

You can see he made adjustments from his original equipment choice to the updated choices.
