Liz’s Kitchen: Balsamic Pork Chops Recipe
This is another Whole30 approved meal and they are delicious! The thing I love about these recipes is at their core they use such simple ingredients and yet the flavor is incredible! If you ever think about trying out the Whole30 I would recommend following Paleo Running Momma, she consistently has tasty yet healthy recipes.
My dad LOVES this recipe, loves it, he picked up the phone and called me to tell me how good this was! So you have to take my word, you can take my dad's. This was served with a sweet potato and apple hash (get recipe here) but it can go with so much more!
Balsamic Pork Chops
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- Salt and pepper
- Italian seasoning
- 2 Tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
- 2/3 cup balsamic vinegar (not all balsamic are Whole30 compliant)
- 1 Tbsp date paste
- Fresh rosemary if desired
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and drop the ghee in to melt. While that's happening season the chops with salt, pepper and a Italian seasoning.
Sear the pork chop in the hot pan for 3-4 or until it has some good brown color and flip and sear for 3-4 minutes more.
Remove and rest on a plate and cover with foil while you make the glaze. Turn you pan down to medium-low.
Take the balsamic and date paste and add to the pan. Which together and raise the heat to medium and cook till syrupy, like 5 minutes.
Put the chops back in the pan to finish off cooking, about 2 minutes on each side. Make sure pork chop is covered in the glaze. Remove from the pan and sprinkle with rosemary and enjoy!
