Dear our favorite breweries across New York,

We love going to your brewery and unwinding after a long work week. It’s a time to kick back, hang out, and de-stress as we have a drink or two and take a moment to overlook the stress in our lives.

But it can be pretty difficult to unwind when there are kids running around all over the place.

Don’t get me wrong…we love children and we agree that they are bundles of joy, but oftentimes when we head to a brewery on a Friday afternoon or during happy hour, we’re trying to have a moment away from the kids before returning back home to the chaos that awaits us (and while we love our families, it’s always good to have a little break, even if it’s only for as long as it takes you to finish a single beer).

Which is why we have a question for you….

Is it possible to have a kid-free day or two so us adults who want to unwind and relax can do so without little kids running around unsupervised?

It’s just a little risky to have kids unscrew the spout on a public water jug (or leave the water gushing out onto the floor because they tried to get their own water cup), having a temper tantrum because they don’t want to be there, or watching kids climb onto the tabletops.

I know, you may be eye-rolling by now, thinking we’re being “a Karen” or whatever the new meme is, but is it so wrong to want to have a parental escape with other adults? Even if it’s only once a week, just give us a day where the breweries don’t feel like a playground.

Thank you for your consideration.
