A new Forbes magazine list puts Rochester at #46 on the list of the fastest growing cities in the United States.

Topping the list was Raleigh, North Carolina.

What surprised me was that Buffalo was ranked #49. What? Then what's so special about Rochester at #46? Why was the article featuring Rochester?  Anyway, that's the scoop.

The report, by the way, looked at Census information from 2000-2012 for the 52 metro areas in the U.S. that have more than 1 million people living there. Cost of living and economic growth were two main areas that were factored in.
