August 24, 2012 The racing this weekend at Bristol should be different from what was seen back in March. Since then the concrete surface was shaved down to bring back the kind of racing that fans used to love at Bristol – all the fender bumping and grinding. It was about five years ago they made a change that allowed more side-by-side racing and eliminated most of the bumping, but the fans didn’t like it.
August 20, 2012 Greg Biffle not only won the race at Michigan but took over the Sprint Cup points lead. He actually inherited the lead in the race when Jimmie Johnson left the track with engine trouble with six laps to go. Because Johnson’s car left oil on the track it came down to a green-white-checkered finish and Biffle held off Brad Keselowski by under a half a second at the finish line.
June 8, 2012 Sprint Cup drivers head to Pocono Raceway this weekend for the first of two stops. It’s called the "The Tricky Triangle," but maybe even trickier this year. The 2.5-mile track has been repaved since last year. And from 500 miles both races this year have been reduced to 400 miles.
April 20, 2012 From Texas, NASCAR drivers now head to another mile and a half track this week when they go to Kansas Speedway. Brad Keselowski was the winner last year in a race that came down to fuel strategy. When Kurt Busch was forced to head to the pits for gas with 15 laps left, Keselowski took the lead and was able to hold off Dale Earnhardt, Junior for his second career Sprint Cup win.
April 16, 2012 They covered 501 miles in just over 3 hours. At an average speed of just over 160 miles an hour, that was one quick race. Clay Moden was there Saturday night and he got to see some history. It wasn’t one of the most exciting races at Texas Motor Speedway, but there were only two cautions
March 5, 2012 It came down to fuel mileage and for Denny Hamlin he had just enough over the final laps to win Sunday's Sprint Cup race at Phoenix International Raceway. Hamlin took the lead on a restart and led the final 59 laps for his 18th career victory.
